Squad Leader Protection

Part VI — Combat · Squadron Damage Allocation
The Squad Leader must always be the last base removed from the unit. If the Squad Leader would be reduced to 0 HP while another base remains:
▪Allocate the damage to another eligible base instead.
The Squad Leader may only be destroyed when it is the final remaining base in the squadron.
