Issuing an Order
Under Orders Framework · Section 203 of 608
Part V — Leadership, Orders, and Command · Orders Framework
During its activation, a unit may attempt any number of Orders up to its Orders characteristic. For each Order:
1. Select an Order.
2. Select a valid target within the Order's range.
3. Roll the issuing unit's LD.
4. Count successes normally.
5. Compare the number of successes to the Order's LD Difficulty.
6. If the result equals or exceeds the LD Difficulty, the Order succeeds.
7. If the result is lower than the LD Difficulty, the Order fails and has no effect.
A failed Order still counts against the unit's Order limit for that activation. Timing Orders may be issued at any point during the unit's activation unless the Order states otherwise. A ship may:
▪Issue Orders before moving.
▪Issue Orders after moving.
▪Issue Orders before firing.
