The Fabled Star

Before the first throne was raised, before the first fleet crossed the dark, there was the One Star.

Hear now the oldest truth. Before the first throne was raised. Before the first fleet crossed the dark. Before memory learned its own name. There was the One Star. Alone.

Not a sun among suns. Not a god among gods. The First Light. The First Will. The beginning from which all life, all hope, and all purpose would descend.

For an age beyond all reckoning, it burned alone within the endless silence. Within its brilliance slumbered every world yet unborn, every soul yet imagined, every kingdom, every triumph, every sorrow.

And the One Star came to know the greatest truth. Creation demands sacrifice. To remain whole was to remain alone. To give life was to surrender eternity. So it chose to break itself.

Its light became the stars. Its breath became the heavens. Its memory became time. Its dreams became worlds. Its heart became the Shards.
